Asian Sell Plan Update: TP1 4,149 Hit for ~22 Points, TP2 4,136 Missed

Asian short – result: The 7:45 PM ET plan: sell 4,165–4,175, stop 4,186, TP1 4,149, TP2 4,136. Gold slid from ~4,157 to a 4,147.8 low at 9:37 PM ET – TP1 4,149 hit (9:32–9:37 PM ET), a max gain of ~22 points from the 4,170 mid-zone.

TP2 missed, bounce followed: TP2 4,136 never printed. Buyers came back after 10 PM ET and lifted gold to 4,178.3 at 10:57 PM ET – above the top of the sell zone but short of the 4,186 stop. Spot was ~4,170 at 11:27 PM ET.

Managing what's left: Any runner after TP1 should have its stop at breakeven. A 1H close above 4,186 means exit and switch to the breakout plan (next post).

🌍 Market Picture

As of 11:30 PM ET, Oct 15

DXY 101.99 ↓US10Y 5.083% ↓Brent 105.4 ↓S&P fut +0.03%

Arrows: vs. prior close

The 10-year yield has slipped to about 5.08% after PPI and the DXY is down near 101.99, back under 102 and off its 18-month high – the main tailwind for gold (CNBC). The AI-stock selloff keeps a haven bid in play, while U.S.–Iran tension around Hormuz holds Brent near $105.40. The swing factor now is Fed Chair Warsh's IMF fireside chat at 11:30 PM ET – a hawkish tone could knock gold back fast.

🧭 Plan & scenarios
